New urgent care, medical clinics at La Paz Regional – open house

Members of the public can get their first look at a new urgent care and medical clinics facility opening soon at La Paz Regional Hospital.

The new 8,125 square-foot facility will house the urgent care, along with new clinics for Parker physicians, medical specialties, x-ray facility, laboratory draw stations and more.

Ground was broken for the new building back in May 2019, with local stakeholders present for the event. Concrete was poured in June, and the rest of the building has taken shape in the months since.

Curious to see inside? Although the building isn’t opening for services just yet, an open house will take place Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm (January 16th) in conjunction with the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce and Tourism monthly mixer. A $5 donation is suggested to cover the cost of refreshments.

Doctors currently practicing at the Parker and Kofa Clinics will be moving over to the new building when it opens. Practitioners at the clinics include Gynecologist Nick Rizos, M.D., Family Doctor Joel Braunstein, D.O., Physician’s Assistant Gloria Eagle, P.A., Family Doctor Barton Butterbaugh, M.D., Oncologist Paul O’Neill, M.D., Shawn O’Haver, RN, MSN, ACNPC-AG and Physician’s Assistant Staci Page, P.A.

La Paz Regional has an urgent care service at present with hours from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday. It is accessible via the E.R. but will move to the new building when it opens.
