Holidays and Happenings

Take a quick look in your refrigerator and you’ll notice all the full Tupperware containers. This can mean only one thing; Thanksgiving is over. (Other signs include your house no longer resembling a parking lot and your sister’s kids are no longer spilling stuff on your couch.) Yes, Thanksgiving weekend is behind us, but its memories will certainly last a lifetime as they always do when Parker, Arizona, serves as host.

Is Thanksgiving weekend the best weekend in Parker, Arizona? Arguably so, or at least it appears to be. Was it spent with family and friends? Did you find yourself sitting around an open fire at some point? Did you head out to the Desert Bar and listen to some great LIVE music? Maybe you watched the Thanksgiving Regatta boat races from the banks of the beautiful Bluewater Resort & Casino or enjoyed the annual Lighted Boat Parade? Perhaps you went to the Ugly Christmas Sweater party at Roadrunner…

Whether you were on the water enjoying some November sunshine or in the desert kicking up dust and dirt in the mild fall temperatures chances are you had a great weekend in Parker.

There’s just one more month remaining in 2014 and Parker is going to finish the year strong. December is full of some great community activities that you can take part in here at your home away from home. Much like the Wise men of old Parker, Arizona, bears gifts in the form of golf tournaments, parades, community talent showcases, and more!
