The Parker Area Chamber of Commerce, the BlueWater Resort & Casino and The Plantation will host the Annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade along the Colorado River on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
The Lighted Boat Parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the BlueWater Resort & Casino Marina and the boats will travel north along the Colorado River to River Lodge.

Judging of the lighted boats will take place at the BlueWater Marina before the boats head upriver and all awards will be distributed at that time.

Boats will be judged two categories: Best Small Boat (24 foot and under) and Best Large Boat (25 foot and over). The first place boats in each category will receive $500 and a trophy. Second place boats in each category will receive a trophy.

Santa Claus will be on hand at the River Cantina to talk with children and free photographs with Santa will be provided. Firefighters from the Buckskin Fire Department will also be cruising the parade route with Santa Claus. The Buckskin Firefighters volunteer their time for this annual event and they try to visit every stop along the river. Patrol boats from the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office also participate in the annual parade.
