AWC Horizon Symposium

April 28, 2017 – April 29, 2017 all-day America/Phoenix Timezone

As part of the AWC Horizon Symposium, we’d like to extend an invitation to our partners and citizens of La Paz County to join us for a conversation about a shared vision of educational excellence for our region.

We are calling on our colleagues in K-12 education, tribal officials, elected officials, small business owners, educators, students, parents, law enforcement, agriculture, or construction/development personnel, along with non-profits and local municipalities to join in the dialog.

We understand that you may be able to attend one day, but our hope is that you will be able to attend both days so that we may be able to gain much input, perspective, and insight.

Friday, April 28

8:00am – noon – Horizon Symposium, AWC Parker Learning Center

Saturday, April 29

9:00am – 11:00am – Horizon Breakfast, AWC Parker Community Center, by the invitation of AWC President Daniel Corr and CampusWorks CEO Liz Murphy

More about the Horizon Symposium: an exciting TED-Talk style symposium that helps us focus as a region on what factors will help build a strong future for education in Yuma and La Paz counties. As a large group, we’ll learn about current trends in Education in a series of engaging mini workshops and presentations hosted by area experts. Later, we’ll break into small topic-specific focus groups to help the group get to the core challenges and opportunities related to education.

Refreshments will be served.
