This presentation was given in a public meeting on Wednesday, December 14th, attended by many of the key project personnel and experts of the Quartzsite Solar Energy project. It involves mirror arrays focused toward a central tower for producing energy.
This project is one of two currently in various stages of development for the desert areas in La Paz County. The other, the Enviromission project, is moving forward too, and a presentation was made to the La Paz County Board of Supervisors on its progress last week.

Josh Savino and myself started today’s show by talking about the 90-minute power outage that took KLPZ 1380am off the air this afternoon, and quickly got talking about a dove who was the unfortunate recipient of the power surge that caused it.
We called the dove Sparky in its memory after Josh decided whether to end its life on-air or not. Watch below.

Watch here as I chat with four film directors whose work will be featured at tomorrow’s Native Visions Film Festival at BlueWater Cinemas in Parker: Rodrick Pocowatchit, Steffanie Suttle, Angelo Baca and Eric Drennan. The festival begins at 8am and will feature the directors’ films and Q&A sessions with the filmmakers until around 2pm. Concessions will be open.
