Local film screening

Our locally-produced film on the old Parker legend about the Goatman is almost ready to watch, with a free screening in Downtown Parker on Friday, October 29th at 9pm. “Goatman: Search for the Legend” can be seen at 1009 Arizona Avenue, courtesy of Chuck Baker and Associates who are allowing the use of the building.

Myself, Joaquin Vences, Josh Savino and others collaborated to bring interviews, testimonials, expert theories, stakeout footage and more together in a 42 minute film, which falls in the ‘short documentary’ category and is sure to pique your curiosity. You’ll recognize some familiar faces and be introduced to some new ones as Hemet Productions investigates the myth, listens to the stories, examines the evidence and conducts our own Search for the Legend with some hair-raising results.

(Come early; seating is limited. Material is at the PG-13 level with a scary theme and some adult language and therefore may not be suitable for younger children.)

More flu clinics

The dates are set for the La Paz County adult flu clinics and the La Paz County Health Department has plenty of vaccine. The influenza vaccine will be given at the following locations:

Brenda Desert Gold RV Park, Monday October 25th from 3:30-4:30pm.
Quartzsite QIA Building, Wednesday October 27th from 2:30-3:30pm.

A ten dollar donation for the influenza vaccine is appreciated for the adult vaccine. There is very little wait time with the Health Department influenza vaccine clinics. The Health Department does not bill Medicare for the vaccine so the lines move quickly.
