Memorial services will be held on Saturday for two teenage girls who tragically drowned in a canal near the BlueWater Lagoon subdivision in Parker, AZ on July 14th.
Claudia Ann Snyder, 17, and Anna Marie Snyder, 15, were reportedly walking from BlueWater Lagoon back to a relative’s house in the town of Parker. They entered the canal at around 8:30 a.m., according to reports, and their bodies were found by divers around 11 a.m.
An obituary says that Claudia and Anna are survived by their loving parents, Robert and Andrea, four younger brothers, a younger sister, aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of friends. A car wash was held over the weekend to raise funds for the family.
“Anna loved so many and was loved by so many more,” the obit says. “She had energy that with even just one encounter with her you would remember her for life. She will continue to stay with us through memories, and laughs she forced us all to endure whether we were in the mood or not. Claudia’s love for her friends and family was tremendous, her energy and love was so contagious you could see it in her eyes. She will stay with us through her memories and that contagious love she offered. While keeping an eye on her baby sister she will also be looking over us.”
Services will be held this Saturday, July 27th at 11 a.m. at Parker Funeral Home. Following the services there will be a remembrance reception at the Parker High School Alumni Hall.
