5th straight win for Broncs

The Parker Broncs won their fifth straight game and improved to 6-1 overall on the season after thoroughly beating the North Pointe Falcons on October 10 at Joe Bush Stadium in Parker.

The Broncs scored on their first play on offense after Ryan Gray ran for a 77-yard TD and they scored two minutes later on their second play of the game when Spencer Moore ran it in from 17 yards to put Parker up 14-0.

In the second quarter Sam McGuire had a 3-yard TD run and QB Cody Esquerra hit Roman Robledo on a 20-yard TD pass to put the Broncs ahead 28-0 at halftime. In the third quarter Parker went up 35-0 after McGuire broke loose on a 49-yard TD run. The Broncs sent in the junior varsity team after that and the JV defense gave up two scores, but Parker won in the end, 35-14.

Parker kicker Javier Torres was 5 for 5 on PAT kicks. The Parker defense held North Pointe to 147 yards of total offense and they sacked the Falcon QB five times, two of them by defensive end Riley Fisher, who was named Defensive Player of the Game. Sam McGuire was named Offensive Player of the Game with two touchdowns and 120 yards rushing. Ryan Gray had 96 yards rushing and Spencer Moore had 92 yards.

The 6-1 Broncs travel to Glendale next Friday, followed by a tough road game at River Valley on October 24. The final regular season game will be against Estrella at home on October 31, which is also the annual Homecoming Game.
