Wallace School locked down as escapee apprehended

At approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning, the Parker Police Department was notified that an arrestee had escaped from the custody of DPS while at La Paz Regional Hospital.

The suspect was last seen running towards 18th Street and Navajo. As officers arrived in the area they saw the suspect near the Wallace School campus. Wallace School was then placed on lockdown. The suspect was quickly apprehended and arrested near the school’s basketball court.

The immediate response by surrounding law enforcement agencies enabled the suspect to be arrested as quickly as possible. Additionally, the school staff reacted swiftly and imposed lock down procedures immediately.
