Two people are deceased after a collision early Wednesday morning at I-10 in Quartzsite.
Sometime shortly after 7 o’clock a Chevy Suburban heading westbound on the freeway drifted into the emergency lane and struck a stationary vehicle. There were 9 occupants, two of whom are believed to have died at the scene.
The incident occurred around milepost 19, near the easternmost turnoff for the town of Quartzsite.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety and other agencies are on the scene. Traffic may still be impacted on I-10 westbound.
