Salome puts hurt on Mesa Prep in football upset

Just wanted to know if you would possibly post something about our football team. We upset Mesa Prep Saturday 60 – 27 in the first round of state playoffs. They were ranked 6 and Salome was 11. We travel to Pima on Friday! Thought it would be be nice to have a positive article about our Salome boys. I’m just a proud mom of my son and the whole team, we have a good group of boys and coaches and think they deserve a little bit of positive coverage! Thanks

Absolutely Brenda; we saw the East Valley Tribune’s excellent coverage of the game, in which they said, “For Mesa Prep on Saturday, it couldn’t stop the strong Salome running game…” and, “Mesa Prep had high expectations this season after reaching the charter school championship game a year ago and then sweeping through its schedule.”
