Local man has “bad night”, fires shots in town

A local man was arrested after 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning for firing shots that hit two businesses on Joshua Avenue in the town of Parker.

Nicholas Garlow, 29, was arrested by Parker P.D. after Officer Chrusciel heard a popping sound and an alarm go off and went to investigate. Garlow is reported to have told Chrusciel he “f***ed up” and was having “a bad night” after a recent divorce. A breathalyzer test is recorded as showing a 0.194 blood alcohol level.

According to Chrusciel’s report, Garlow confirmed that he had fired around 6 or 7 hollow point bullets from his .40 caliber Glock firearm in the area, some of which went into the ground.

A bullet went through a window at Terry’s Health & Water, through an interior wall, through a flowerpot and into a couch before hitting a rear brick wall and dropping to the ground, according to the report. At least two bullets also hit walls at Parker Ford Motor Company.

Police are investigating using video evidence from Terry’s Health & Water to determine if the suspect fired into the store intentionally.

Garlow was booked into the La Paz County Jail.
