Christmas for the Troops 2009

One of America's finest, receiving gifts from Parker last Christmas.Last year, the Parker Lions’ Bill & Barbara Risen spearheaded an initiative to send gifts from the people of the Parker area to U.S. forces stationed in Iraq at Camp Anaconda for Christmas. This year, they hope to repeat those successes, by which hundreds of items were shipped to Iraq in time for the holiday season.

“We started our Christmas for our Troops Oct 12th. We will end it Nov 25th. Drop-off points are AEA Federal Credit Union, Horizon Community Bank, KLPZ, Parker Chamber of Commerce, Parker Town Hall, and we are happy to have Walmart join our list of drop-off points as well.”

So, how can you get involved? Simple. Just bring items such as the following to any of the drop-off points mentioned before Thanksgiving weekend.

  • WE ARE ACCEPTING CASH FOR SHIPPING

    We are waiting for the approval of Walmart to bring them on board for Christmas for the Troops. We hope for approval soon.

    We look forward to another outstanding year for the troops. What better time to tell them we care, we understand, we stand with you.

    Wal Mart has now been added to our collection points. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
